Cecile Culp Mielenz, Ph.D., LMHC
Professional Support for Your Parenting Journey
Parenting is a life experience unlike any other! Getting aquainted with a new little human not only fills us with a deep feeling of wonderment but also with an awesome sense of responsibility. That little baby can make us laugh or break down in tears. As our children grow and our parent-child relationship grows, too, the many emotions and big feelings continue to develop--for both of us!
As parents, we want to understand our children and their own unique life experiences. We love the moments of joy and connection, but we are often bewildered when it comes to the big feelings and challenging behaviors. Advice is plentiful--from our own parents, friends, books, and podcasts. But often that advice is contradictory.
How are you to know the right choices for your particular child? This is where having your own highly qualified professional can be invaluable. I will bring to our sessions my education, training, and experience in child development. As I get to know you, I will recommend research-based, yet practical, ways to help you understand and support your unique child. Above all, I will share with you my belief in the value of the parent-child relationship. I look forward to being your guide to a loving, life-long relationship with that precious human who is your child.
